Thanksgiving

Aunt Monkey and Uncle Worm came in town and we had Thanksgiving dinner at Lady and Paw Paw's house.  It was a nice dinner, and then Friday we headed to downtown Fort Worth for the annual Parade of Lights.  Unfortunately the weather turned colder that evening so it was quite a chilly night.  Mateo really enjoyed the parade though, so that made it worthwhile.

Updates on Mia:
  • She is officially crawling on her knees now.
  • She has tooth number 9 coming in, and this one is a tough one.  She hasn't been her happy self for the past couple of days.
  • Eating puffs.  Mateo loved the Gerber puffs and now Mia does too.
Updates on Mateo:

  • Charlie the Elf (Elf on the Shelf) showed up this week to watch Mateo and fly back to Santa at night to tell him if Mateo was good or bad.
  • Mateo told Juan this week that he couldn't sleep because his eyes were broken.
  • Helping us keep Mia out of trouble.  Mia is constantly trying to get his toys, so the other day he was following her around picking up all of his toys before she could get to them.  He had both arms full of toys and couldn't pick anything else up.  He also makes sure that she stays in baby jail, and acts as the "blocker" whenever she is going for something she shouldn't.

Here are some recent pics.

We took Mateo to see the Clifford the Big Red Dog musical.  He really enjoyed it but someone that obviously doesn't have children scheduled it for 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon.  Bad timing, so he was out on the drive home.

This is baby jail - the only room in the house that is kind of baby proof.  The only room in the house that Mia is allowed in.  It's going to be a long 3 years.

Standing up on her own.

Perfect pair!

Look at all of those teeth!

School pictures actually turned out good for the first time ever.

Cutest baby girl in the cutest outfit!

Mateo helped me make some turkey cookies for his teachers for Thanksgiving.  He was very helpful sorting through the jelly beans and M&Ms to find the right colors, and counting out the pieces for me.  He was also very helpful in picking out the broken pieces so that he could put them in his bag for later.

Playing Memory with Lady (and beating her)

Watching the parade.

Enjoying the parade with Daddy

Mia trying to get past the Christmas tree barricade at Lady's house.

Mateo helped me decorate all of the Christmas trees this year.

This is Mia's tree for her room - white with all pink ornaments.

Mateo wanted a blue tree with red to match his Spiderman decor.

This is giggling baby video.  This could go on all day at our house.
