Happy Thanksgiving!

It's been a month since my last post, and we've had a lot going on, so this is going to be a long one.  A few weeks ago we took Mateo to the aquarium at Grapevine Mills Mall. Here are some pics from that.

While we were walking through the mall, Mateo stopped and put both his hands in his pockets and started strolling through the mall.  It was so cute.

Here are some pics of Mateo at school that Juan snapped through the window.

Mateo really shocked us the other day when we went to get his hair cut.  He didn't make a peep the entire time the lady was cutting his hair.  There was another kid there that was throwing a fit, and I think that helped distract Mateo a little, but either way, we were so proud of him.  He did so good, and of course, he got a lollipop as a reward.

These were the pictures that we took for our Christmas card.  He looks so old in these.

Hanging out in the back of Daddy's truck.

The other day Mateo woke up with swollen eyes and I ended up taking him to the doctor and she thinks he has allergies.  Not good for him.  Nonetheless, I needed to go get his prescription filled and he was being difficult getting dressed.  This is what he ended up in.  A jacket, winter hat, and diaper.  Luckily, we were going drive through.

Juan has had two weekends away hunting this month, one in Texas hunting deer and one in Kansas hunting pheasant.  Here are some pics from his adventures.

The Christmas decorations have been up for a couple of weeks in our house.  Mateo was a good helper decorating the trees.  On the big tree, he put all of the ornaments on the bottom few branches.  I had to redecorate a little bit.  He has his own tree in his room this year, and he decorated it all on his own.

On Thanksgiving Day Juan and I got to go to the Cowboys game.  Mateo's favorite musician, Pitbull, played at halftime.  For some reason, Mateo loves Pitbull.  We have a Pitbull performance from one of the music awards shows taped, and Mateo can watch it over and over again.

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday at Lady's.  Mateo spent time playing with Aunt Monkey and Uncle Worm.

This is a video of Mateo watching his new favorite video on YouTube.  He likes to act along with it.

This is Mateo reading to himself.  He reads to himself now as much as he wants us to read to him.

In this video Mateo started by eating his veggies, but it turned into him eating sour cream.  Juan had the camera set up so that Mateo could see himself being taped so he was very interested in seeing himself.

In this video Juan was getting Mateo to tell Harley to sit and giving him treats.

Mateo was parking his car in the garage in this video.

Happy Halloween

We had a great halloween weekend.  Friday and Saturday night we went to Halloween festivals.  Mateo did well playing the games they had set up, and he really got into it once he realized this was a way to get candy.  He dressed up like an airplane, which was a great costume for him because it didn't require anything on his face or head.  Last night we went trick or treating and Mateo had a great time.  He was reluctant at first, but once he realized there was candy involved he was all over it.

Poor little man woke up sick on Saturday with a 104 fever.  He was so sick he fell asleep on the couch, which has never happened.  By that evening he seemed well enough to go to the festival.

Playing games at the festival.

Mmm, lollypop.

Blue tongue to match his shirt.

The petting zoo.

Mateo got to ride the pony.  He had the biggest smile on his face.  Time for his Lady to get a pony!

Loves his daddy!

Sunday we carved pumpkins.  Mateo helped pull all the insides out and make a mess with them!  I think this was the first time any of us carved pumpkins, and we didn't do too bad.

Eating some Smarties before trick or treating.

What a pitiful face!  Lady handed out the candy at our house while we took Mateo trick or treating and this was the face he made when he realized she wasn't coming along.  Who taught him that?

There were so many kids everywhere, it was like follow the leader.
Relaxing with a snack and helping us hand out candy.

Even Harley had a costume.
