Happy Halloween

We had a great halloween weekend.  Friday and Saturday night we went to Halloween festivals.  Mateo did well playing the games they had set up, and he really got into it once he realized this was a way to get candy.  He dressed up like an airplane, which was a great costume for him because it didn't require anything on his face or head.  Last night we went trick or treating and Mateo had a great time.  He was reluctant at first, but once he realized there was candy involved he was all over it.

Poor little man woke up sick on Saturday with a 104 fever.  He was so sick he fell asleep on the couch, which has never happened.  By that evening he seemed well enough to go to the festival.

Sunday we carved pumpkins.  Mateo helped pull all the insides out and make a mess with them!  I think this was the first time any of us carved pumpkins, and we didn't do too bad.

What a pitiful face!  Lady handed out the candy at our house while we took Mateo trick or treating and this was the face he made when he realized she wasn't coming along.  Who taught him that?
