Today was a big day for the Ortegon family. We found out this morning that we are having a baby GIRL! We have been anxiously awaiting this day, and it is almost surreal. We are a little shocked, and don't really know what we are going to do with a girl, after having a boy first. We know that Mateo will be a wonderful big brother though, and are looking forward to March when we get to meet our daughter! Juan seems nervous, probably more so about the bank account than anything else - and the amount of pink that will soon be in the house. Anybody that has a boy though can relate - the clothes just aren't nearly as cute as they are for the girls! I've had to walk past them for too long without buying!
Since we had the day off, this afternoon we took Mateo to the Dallas Arboretum pumpkin patch. It was so amazing - I've never seen so many pumpkins - over 50,000. Mateo had a blast, although I'm not sure when he turned from little boy to monkey. It seems like overnight he has decided that he can climb anything - and he can. This past weekend at Lady's while fixing his lunch, I had my back turned for a split second and he climbed into his high chair on his own. And now at home he has started climbing up onto his changing table (time to put it away). He climbs every piece of furniture, shopping carts, and anything else he can.
Needless to say, Mateo climbed on everything at the pumpkin patch.

| Picking up baby pumpkins. Pretty sure these were part of the display and not supposed to be picked up. Sorry Arboretum. |
