We had a great Fourth of July weekend, with lots of swimming and sun. We went and saw fireworks on Thursday night, and had a BBQ at Lady and Paw Paw's house on Friday. Aunt Monkey and Uncle Worm moved to Arlington last week, so luckily we got to spend some time with them as well.
The kids are really enjoying the pool this year. We have had Mateo in swim lessons since last November and this weekend he was able to swim the length of the pool on his own. Mia does great wearing the floaties and loves jumping off the step and the edge. This has been the first year where swimming has been enjoyable for the adults as well as the kids.
On Sunday we went to Bass Pro and the Rainforest Cafe to see all the animals, which is great entertainment for the kids.
