We had a nice and relaxing weekend. Saturday we took Mateo to the children's museum and we took him to the Sesame Street Planetarium show. He really enjoyed it, because he loves looking at the moon, so he got to learn a little about the moon and the stars - and of course, since Big Bird and Elmo were there that made it fun too. We also went to see the new Grossology exhibit. It just opened a couple weeks ago, and is making headlines, because it is about all "gross" bodily functions. It really was gross, and I was surprised that they really made it fun for kids Mateo's age. I learned some very interesting things, but I will spare you the gross details....

The weather has been amazing lately, so today we took advantage and took Mateo to the park. He has grown up so much since last park season, now he can go on the playground by himself and climb the ladders and stairs, it makes me realize how big he is getting.

Mateo is still showing his sweet side every day. When we were at the Planetarium show, he just leaned over and gave me a hug and kiss out of nowhere. Those are the moments that make my day! And his teacher gave us the nicest compliment the other day. She told us that she wishes all the parents at his school had the same manual that we had for raising kids. She said that Mateo is so caring and compassionate with the other kids, and that he is just a sweet boy. I wish I knew what we did (if anything) to make him so sweet, so we can do the same with Mia. Maybe we just got lucky!
These are some pics from President's Day. We took Mateo to the Dallas Aquarium with a friend, Brian.

On to the Mia news...My last day of work was Friday, and it couldn't have been any better timing. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it through another day of work. That gives me one week off work to hopefully be productive and rest, unless Mia arrives early. The last appointment the doctor said she will induce as early as this Wednesday through 1.5 weeks after the due date. She said because of the size, she would rather induce on the 10th, 13th, or 15th. We are choosing the 10th for now, so that means in less than a week we will have little Mia in our arms! Here are a few pics from my baby shower at work...
