Since we will be traveling to Laredo next weekend for Labor Day, we had a little pre-Labor Day celebration today to Lady and Paw-Paw's house. Juan BBQ-ed us some fajitas which were delicious, Mateo got to go for a ride in the Gator, swim in the pool and look at the ducks and geese, and we got to meet the new addition to the family - Bubba the kitten. I'm not sure what is more work - a baby or a kitten! Mateo was very sweet with Bubba and was very gentle with him - although when Lady would hold Bubba, Mateo got very jealous. Mateo was being very sweet this weekend, despite a 103 fever, and handing out hugs and kisses to everyone, including Bubba. Mateo said several new words this weekend, including "Bubba" and "Duck" and "Uh Oh."
We closed on our new house this week, but the sellers are staying there for another 2 weeks. We had an open house on our house today, but only 2 people showed up! There was another showing later in the day, and we think the people really liked it, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for an offer!
