Sea World

We made a trip to Sea World San Antonio over Labor Day weekend with the Deweses and the Freemans.  With 5 kids with had our hands full, but we had a great time!  We stayed at the Hyatt Wild Oak in a 2 bedroom condo, so we had plenty of space.  This was our first "vacation" with both kids and first road trip.  The drive was as smooth as it could have been considering it's a 5 hour drive.  On the way down we got to stop and see Omar and Josie and their kiddos.  It was great getting to see them and their girls - the last time we saw them I was pregnant with Mia.

The hotel had pools and a lazy river with a beach entry.  The kids kept themselves entertained building sandcastles and playing in the sand.  Mia kept herself entertained eating the sand.

The first night the hotel had s'mores night.  First time for s'mores too!

Jackie brought glow in the dark swords that kept the kids quite entertained!

The last day we went to the Hyatt Hill Country across the street and spent time in their pool and lazy river.

We spent one full day at Sea World.  The kids got to see the dolphins, the Sesame Street characters, Shamu, several shows, and play at the water park.  Petting the stingrays was such a big hit, that they did the stingray encounter where they got to stand in a pool with the stingrays and feed them!

It was nice that we had two connecting rooms.  Most nights we put the kids in one room to watch a movie while we relaxed in the connecting one.

The kids kept themselves entertained in the car watching DVDs and playing with the iPad.  Thank goodness for technology!  This was practice for a longer road trip to Laredo in November.  Hopefully practice makes perfect!
