Bahamas

It's been awhile but Juan and I were able to celebrate our 10 year anniversary a few months early with a trip to Nassau, Bahamas.  Grandma, Grandpa, and Nana came into town to stay with the kiddos while we went on the trip.  Everyone did great without us, and we had an amazing time.  This was our first kid free vacation for several years and was so relaxing and quiet!  We stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian that was in Nassau, but also had a private island.  It was the most amazing resort, very private, great food, and good entertainment.  We had a room that walked out to a hot tub and was about 30 feet from the beach.  It had a butler service that was at our beck and call, so we were lazy, to say the least!  The weather was great, late afternoon showers to cool everything off, but sunny and warm in the mornings.

Hammock time.  This was our afternoon spot in the hammocks.

On the private island, we had a reserved cabana.  The butler would bring us food and drinks as long as we were there.

The resort had beautiful gardens.

This was the view from the boat to the private island, about a 5 minute boat ride.  We spent the last few days on the island.  It was so remote and quiet.  Only a handful of people would be there at a time.

Our reserved cabana.

Crystal clear water.  They had water sports included, we tried paddle boarding and that was about it.

This was our very on the island the last day.  We had the island to ourselves - it felt like something out of a TV show.

Thank you to Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, and Lady for helping out while we were gone.  We are lucky to have such amazing family to allow us to take these kind of trips!  We are already planning the next one :)
