Wow, we have a lot to talk about today. We will start by saying Happy Father's Day to all the father's we know and love! And Happy Birthday to Cole Dewese, Mateo's BFF that he hasn't met yet! Mateo had his nine month check up on Friday. He is healthy as ever - he weighs 23 pounds and is 29 inches long. His favorite things now are:
- Sampling food - all kinds of food
- Remote controls and cell phones
- Daddy - this never seems to change
- Trying to crawl to all the things he's not supposed to mess with
- Standing up and trying to balance
- Swimming - as long as the sunscreen doesn't run into his eyes
- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
- Saying "dada" - we are still working on "mama"
Mateo had a sleepover at Lady and Paw-Paw's Friday night, and then we celebrated Father's Day over there yesterday. Unfortunately, Mateo came down with something last night, and was feeling very under the weather. We can tell just by looking at him - we say he looks "droopy." We still had a nice Father's Day today. Mateo was wearing a shirt that said "Daddy's my Hero," and I was trying to get some cute Daddy-son pictures, but I was not successful. You can tell Mateo was pretty pitiful by looking at the quality of pictures.
