This weekend marked the first day of Spring, but it felt like the middle of winter. We woke up to an inch of snow this morning and temperatures in the 30s all weekend. Needless to say, we spent the day playing inside.
Yesterday we took at trip to the mall and tried out Mateo’s big boy stroller. He is just not comfortable riding in his carseat stroller anymore so we upgraded this week. Then we went out to eat with Lady and PawPaw, and Juan decided to let Mateo try a pickle. I think it brought back memories of all the pickles I ate while I was pregnant, because he loved it and wasn’t a happy camper when we had to leave it behind.
Since my last post we had Mateo’s 6 month checkup. He weighed 19 pounds 2 ounces and was 27 inches long – 75th percentile on height and weight. He is still in the 25th percentile on his head circumference – courtesy of Daddy and Lady.
He has slept through the night for 2 weeks straight, even with a cough, congestion, and tummy problems. He’s enjoying eating his veggies and starting to practice using a sippy cup. Although you can see from the picture below that eating solids can be a little messy from time to time. The incident below occurred when Mateo knocked the spoon while it was in Juan’s hands.
The last video below was a cute moment we caught with Mateo talking to and petting Sophie and making some funny noises. Enjoy!

Are those carrots on your forehead?
