Aggieland

We took Mateo to his first Aggie football game this year against UTEP.  We drove down on the Friday before so that we could spend the whole weekend there.

We had to stop on the way down and take pictures in front of the Aggie barn.

The jeep had to get it's picture taken too.

This looks like such a senior picture pose in bottle cap alley.

Our first stop when we got to College Station was the Chicken.  Mateo learned to play some bones, so he was entertained while Juan and I reminisced.

We went to eat Wings n' More with the Freeman's for dinner.  Mateo took quite a liking to Mr. Brian.

Mateo slept very soundly after the long and busy days.  We rented a condo across from campus so it was very convenient and within walking distance.

We woke up and had breakfast with Jackie and her family.  It was great to see them and let the boys play for awhile.

Next stop was campus for some tailgating with the Gabros.  They had quite the setup with the camper, tents, lots of good food and drinks, a bounce house for the kiddos, and Mateo got to play with his new buddy Parker.

A couple of hours before the game started, they held a kids yell practice.  Mateo got to take pictures with the yell leaders, which was very exciting!

Juan took Mateo to his old dorm, and got to see where Daddy lived back in the day.

We went to step off so that Mateo could experience the corps and band march in to the stadium.

And then it was finally time for the game, which didn't start until 8pm!  We made it through 3rd quarter and then headed back to the condo.  It was very cold that evening, and I was really surprised Mateo lasted that long without a nap.  He is definitely a trooper when it comes to lack of sleep.  Juan and I were exhausted, but he is like the energizer bunny!
It was such a good trip.  Mateo was so well behaved, it made it easy.  And Juan and I had so much fun reliving our college days.  We hope that we get to have many more trips like this in the future!
