The Ortegons: Changes...

So, I've been a little behind on blogging lately. We have quite a bit going on to say the least. Juan and I traveled to Mexico for a week in May with Jeff and Jackie, while Grandma and Grandpa Ortegon moved in to keep Mateo while we were gone. It was a nice trip, but we missed little man a lot and actually looked forward to returning home for once! I started a new job this week in downtown, only a couple of blocks from Juan. But, that means that Mateo has to change schools, which we are so sad about. We've been extremely lucky and happy with the Montessori School that Mateo has been attending. The teachers were amazing and we are so sad to leave them. Starting next week we will be taking Mateo to a new Montessori School in downtown close to where we will both be working now. On that note, we are also working on getting our house ready to put on the market. We are going to try to relocate to an area closer to some good daycares and somewhere with better schools. Mateo's favorite things to do now: 1. Bounce in his bouncer like a wildman! Oftentimes he wears himself out from bouncing so hard that he falls asleep mid-bounce. 2. Giving kisses. He gives kisses - although they are a little violent. He grabs on to your face with both hands and gives a big slobbery baby kiss! It is my favorite thing, but sometimes we end up with nail and tooth marks on our faces. 3. Anything that will make him mobile. He is so close to crawling, he is pulling himself up to standing, and loves being walked around. 4. Playing with Daddy. Daddy is by far his favorite person to be around. They laugh and play together and Daddy can always put a smile on his face.
